Send SMS via your Mac
Luscious SMS is a useful application to send SMS with your Mac even if you don't have your mobile phone with you.
Before actually using Luscious SMS you need to check that it handles your mobile gateway.
Once that's done you can type your SMS message, connect to your gateway, enter your username and password and send your SMS. Integrating perfectly with the Mac Address Book, Luscious SMS can quickly retrieve phone numbers from any one of your contact.
Luscious SMS includes intelligent text splitting, which ensures that longer messages are split up logically.
If Luscious SMS doesn't seem to handle your SMS gateway you can look for a plugin from the developer page.
We did notice however that the majority of gateways supported by Luscious SMS, and most of the plugins are still limited to Switzerland. Let's hope they extend to other countries soon.
An interesting application, it's a shame that this SMS sender is still mostly limited to Switzerland. Let's hope newer versions are also a little bit more stable.
